Academic Personnel Branch Directorate

In accordance with relevant legislation, the objectives, principles, and instructions determined by the Balıkesir University Rectorate and the Human Resources Department, the Branch Directorate's duties are carried out in a healthy, orderly, and harmonious manner, planning, coordination, and supervision.
In this context, the Branch Directorate's Duties/Job, Authorities, and Responsibilities are as follows:
- To assign academic personnel in accordance with Article 13/b-4 of Law No. 2547.
- To conduct domestic and international assignment procedures for academic personnel in accordance with Article 39 of Law No. 2547.
- To conduct procedures and correspondence regarding the YUDAB (University of Southern Anatolia Project) Academic Member/Lecturer/Instructor Selection Exam to be Assigned Abroad.
- In accordance with Article 38 of Law No. 2547, assignments of faculty members from and to Balıkesir University for one-year terms to provide scientific support in public institutions and organizations. To handle part-time or full-time assignments of faculty members and company establishment requests in accordance with Law No. 4691 on Technology Development Zones.
- Passport Procedures (Special and Service Passports).
- To conduct assignments for the oral exam for associate professorships.
- Assignments for courses taught at Balıkesir University, for retired and freelance students, pursuant to Article 31 of Law No. 2547.
- Assignments for courses taught at Balıkesir University and other universities, pursuant to Article 40, paragraphs (a) and (d) of Law No. 2547.
- Assignments for courses taught at Balıkesir University and Turkish Armed Forces and Security Forces Schools, pursuant to Articles 89 and 176 of Law No. 657.
- Assignments made by other public institutions for courses taught at Balıkesir University. Pursuant to Article 40, paragraph (b) of Law No. 2547, assignments made for at least one academic year at Balıkesir University or other universities.
- Appointments made pursuant to Article 41 of Law No. 2547; the Council of Higher Education's determination of the faculty needs of State Higher Education Institutions within the scope of this Law in various branches of science and art, and the determination of which Higher Education Institutions will meet these needs, taking into account the faculty availability.
- Assignments of academic staff of our University pursuant to Article 36 of Law No. 2547.
- Assignments of expert witnesses upon requests from courts or public institutions and organizations.
- General and distributed internal and external correspondence.
- Provision of power of attorney to the Rector's Office and obtaining and notifying the approval of deans/directors on duty or on leave.
- Proposal of dean candidates to the Council of Higher Education.
- Procedures for the appointment of deans/directors.
- Follow-up procedures regarding administrative assignments of academic staff (Director, Department, Head of Department, etc.)
- Obtaining and notifying the approvals of faculty members who have resigned or are deemed resigned
- Executing all procedures regarding the assignment of TUS and YDUS candidate
- Carrying out correspondence regarding the appointment of graduate students abroad on behalf of our University on behalf of the Ministry of National Education, in accordance with Law No. 1416
- Procedures regarding research assistants pursuant to Article 35 of Law No. 2547 who are pursuing graduate education at another University.
- Procedures for evaluation of master's, doctoral, and preparatory classes.
- Writing the necessary response letters, in accordance with Law No. 4982 on the Right to Information, for academic staff who apply to CİMER or our University for information.
- Obtaining approvals for unpaid leave, nursing leave, half-day leave, companionship leave, and overseas leave.
- Conducting procedures for conscription, postponement, and postponement of military service, as well as military service evaluations.
- Issuing service certificates for academic staff. To carry out the compulsory service transfer procedures for academic staff.
- To monitor the preliminary evaluation and entrance exam results of non-teaching staff and ensure their publication on the University's website.
- To conduct the open appointment of academic staff and the consent procedures for faculty members transferring to and from our University.
- To prepare unit activity reports by the end of the year.
